Tacos La Perlita

this place is absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend to try the barbacoa, chicken, carnitas... it's all good. Service is fast and there is a nice dining area with plenty of seating.

Have driven by this place for years--always thought it was just another lame student hangout. But on a whim, my wife and I tried it today for lunch--and it was fantastic--tasty and authentic. We had tortas and tacos--marinated beef and carnitas--and both were great. Good service and ambiance--and a diverse ethnic mix, though mostly Latino. We will be back for sure!

Excellent street tacos in College Station. I recently came back from a trip to Mexico and was craving authentic tacos and Tortas. Additionally, I really enjoy eating tacos, so I've tried most spots there are here in the area. This place has easily the best authentic street-style tacos I've had in the area. Torta: Quite good. I realized I'm not actually a huge fan of the bread to meat ratio being in favor of the soft and fluffy bread, but that's mostly a personal preference. The taste was on point and goes great with some additional sauce on it. Tacos: Pastor was my favorite, the rest were amazing with just a squeeze of lime on top. Price was about $2.50 per taco when I visited in March 2024, which is killed compared to other ~$4+ per taco spots in the area. Would definitely come back here and try out more tacos as well as some on flour. However, the corn tortilla was fresh and authentic. Service & Ambiance: Service was great, causal table service with friendly and helpful staff. Ambiance was nice. Clean restaurant with lots of seating and fun colors. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, considering the excellent price and portion size. Would go back! 4.5/5!

Their complimentary salsa that goes with the chips was spicy and delicious. Their street tacos were okay. We ordered the pastor and the beef fajitas. Their decor was colorful. The staff was attentive.

My favorite place to get authentic Mexican food in College Station! Everything is fairly priced and the portions are huge. The parillada for one comes with 6 tacos and filled two people perfectly. The quesadillas with barbacoa are also very yummy. Their beans that come with the plate meals are one of the best I've ever tasted. They also give complimentary chips and salsa which is nice.

We've been looking for a great Mexican restaurant in College Station and I think La Perlita is the place! The waiter was friendly and attentive up until the last 30 minutes or so. We saw he was very busy cleaning and all though so we didn't so much mind. The food was excellent! Everything had great flavor. I for the enchiladas verdes which was nice and cheesy with a hint of spice. My wife got the chicken burrito which was absolutely massive. She said she wished the rice was on the side because it was a lot. My kids got the chicken nuggets and burger and had no complaints. We also started with the queso which was yummy as you'd expect. The salsa's have great flavor and spice. We will be back!
